About me

TL;DR I enjoy working with computers and solving problems.

My name is Victor. Throughout the years, I have had many different interests. However, I always have kept one in particular with me: computers. I remember getting scolded at school by bypassing their internet restrictions by using ping somewebsite.com and using its IP rather than the domain name. I think I was eleven at that time. Not very long after, I installed ubuntu on the family's computer. I was told to roll back that change. Some years later, while enrolled in an engineering degree, I always enjoyed the lessons about programming the most.

Other than computers, I also enjoy engineering, in particular, the problem solving aspect of it which eventually earned me a degree in BSc. General Engineering at the Technical University of Denmark. When I returned home I worked as the main engineer at a vertical agriculture start up. During that time, I wore many hats but I particularly enjoyed working with ESP32 microcontrollers to monitor and manage the state of the system.

Despite our best effort at that start up, our product was to expensive and the market wasn't ready for such niche item and we were forced to shutdown. Soon after that, my wanderlust got the best of me and I moved to Thailand to work as a highschool teacher for two years. At first at was a little worried that it might have been an awfull career choice but I got to learn a lot. During that time, I transitioned to web developer doing some small projects for myself and the website for the school I was working at the time (once again, I return to computers).

After returning from Thailand, I decided to take my computer education to the next level by enrolling to the Open Source Society University's computer science program as well as computer sistem engineering at the "Universidad Virtual del Estado de Guanajuato". At the same time, I will be focusing a lot of my time to making practical projects which I enjoy working on to broaden my skillset while also specializing on on-demand technologies.
